About the Role:

Lead the strategic vision and business development initiatives of the firm to drive long-term value creation across a diversified portfolio of investments. The role is responsible for identifying new investment opportunities, shaping corporate strategy, fostering strategic partnerships, and providing market intelligence to drive growth and competitiveness.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the formulation and execution of corporate strategy, growth plans, and investment theses.

  • Collaborate with the Board/Executive Leadership to define long-term strategic goals aligned with market trends and global economic shifts.

  • Oversee business model innovation and strategic repositioning of portfolio companies.

  • Identify, evaluate, and pursue inorganic growth opportunities including M&A, joint ventures, and strategic partnerships.

  • Lead due diligence, valuation, and deal structuring processes in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Work with investment teams to assess financial viability and strategic fit of potential investments.

  • Develop and nurture a robust pipeline of investment and partnership opportunities.

  • Build and maintain a strong network of industry experts, dealmakers, advisors, and potential partners globally.

  • Champion market entry strategies in new geographies and emerging sectors.

  • Support portfolio companies in their strategic roadmaps, operational optimization, and business development efforts.

  • Monitor performance metrics and proactively recommend turnaround or acceleration strategies.

  • Identify synergies and cross-leveraging opportunities across the portfolio.

  • Stay ahead of industry trends, competitive landscape, and regulatory changes.

  • Provide actionable insights to the Board and Investment Committees.

  • Represent the firm at industry events, conferences, and forums.

Qualifications

  • MBA from a Tier-1 business school (e.g., INSEAD, Wharton, HBS, LBS, ISB, IIMs) or relevant post-graduate degree.

  • 12+ years of experience in strategy, business development, management consulting, investment banking, or private equity.

  • Proven track record of leading strategic initiatives and successful transactions (e.g., M&A, fundraising, scaling businesses).

  • Experience in managing cross-functional teams and working with CXO-level stakeholders.
